A brand new and exciting educational opportunity starts during half term, as EdVenture comes to Penryn College.
February half-term is quite often a difficult time for parents, desperately attempting to entertain their children in the typical Cornish ‘mizzle’. Penryn College have recognised this, but also the chance it creates for children to continue their learning and development beyond the normal school term.
This is where EdVenture was born; a range of activities arranged to engage children between the ages of 3-16 in a host of sporting, artistic and academic means. The various sessions, either based at the College or off-site at specifically selected venues, are all led by experts within their field and intended to cater for all abilities.
The activities, ranging from Musical Theatre to archery, are all listed on the new MyEdventure.co.uk website and parents also now have the capability to book and pay online.

Well done to Dylan, Natasha, Lucas, Lauren, Theo, Scott, Finn, Luca, Mya, Ethan, Loveday, Ben, Erin, Joanna, Molly, Mia, Lydia, Zanna, Romi and Daisy.
Policy for bringing Scooters
and Mopeds onto School Grounds
A new policy has been introduced for those students who wish to bring a scooter or moped onto the school grounds.
There are a few things which students will need to do to be compliant and we would ask parents to sign the authorisation saying that you are happy for your child to use their vehicle to travel to school.
The children will then need to bring their documents into school and once they have done this they are free to use their own scooter or moped to travel onto school grounds. The policy can be found in the Policy section of the website. If you have any questions please get in touch with Dave Cunningham at the college.
Please note that shorts can now be worn all year around. Shorts must be formal, black, knee length and of a formal/tailored type cut. Any other styles will not be allowed.
You can find the full uniform list on our website.

Most of our parents receive the Friday weekly email. This goes out every Friday at 5pm giving details for that week on Behaviour Incidents, Achievement Awards, Attendance, Homework due, Canteen & Printing balances. Feedback on this can be seen below.
“I do find the weekly emails really helpful, as it gives me an update without having to log in. When I do log in, it’s great to have all the information in one place, including canteen balance etc. Thanks for making my life a little easier.”
“I find the weekly email really useful to keep up to date with progress on the boys. Each week I challenge them regarding their homework as I know the specifics. Not only do I know they have homework but what subject, what task and when the deadline is. It has saved time and arguments in our house so thank you for providing us with this vital information. As a very busy working mum I find this online communication invaluable to supporting the boys at Penryn.”
If you do not have your parent log in details for the Virtual School/or wish to receive the weekly email contact Mrs Head on Ext.1241 or email email@example.com.
