Our student assessments are changing

We have made quite a lot of changes to our reports and how we assess your child.  There is a letter to all parents on our website explaining the details.  One big change is that assessments are now 'Live' - this means you don't have to wait until the next report to find out how your child is doing - just log on to the Virtual School and see how they did in the most recent assessment in a particular subject.

15kg packs and Dartmoor bogs don't put off our Ten Tors toughies!

Ms Edgell writes: 22 students attended training for the 2017 Ten Tors event - 18 Year 10 students training for the 35 mile challenge and four Year 11s going for the 45 mile challenge.

For the year 10 it was their first training session on Dartmoor and for the Year 11 students, it was their first session with full packs weighing 15 kg.

We had a beautiful day out on the moor, with really clear visibility and some interesting routes taken by students when it was their time to lead the group (mostly through bogs!)
