GRADE 12

Fundraising - On behalf of all the Grade 12 students we would like to warmly invite you to support us in our fundraising efforts this year! Back by popular demand, we have two great Christmas fundraisers happening right now: Holiday Poinsettia & Wreath and the Purdys Chocolates sales - lovely gifts to treat yourself with or your neighbor! Both can be ordered on line or from one of us! See more here: www.vws.ca/grade-12-fundraising

Grolch Bottles - As part of our grade 12 fundraiser we are planning to sell various items at the Christmas fair, but we need help to make it more affordable and environmentally friendly. We are in need of empty Grolsh bottles, so if you have any, or would be willing to save them for us it would be greatly appreciated. The bottles can be dropped off at either the High school or at the Grade school at the front office. Thank you very much for any donations and we look forward to seeing you at the Christmas Fair.

NOTES

With November just around the corner, things are starting to shift at the Vancouver Waldorf School - pumpkins were carved today, lantern walks are being planned, honouring of our 'dearly departed' is taking place in classrooms with altars and shrines... October was a busy and bustling month, but the tides are shifting as the days grow darker and we feel the inclination to turn inward and begin hibernation for the winter!

However... while we may be slowing our pulses, let's not forget to nourish - and in theses next several weeks there will be ample opportunities to 'feed the soul' so to speak. In particular, our Annual Children's Christmas Fair is coming up on November 19 and is a perfect time to build community bonds, celebrate our children, and revel in comradery and the spirit of the season. The Fairytale Christmas & Eurythmy Performance is taking place on November 25 - if you have not been before, please plan to attend, your heart will be completely transformed. The festival of Advent is also celebrated throughout the weeks of December, leading up to our winter break... but there will be more on that note in the coming weeks.

Take a deep breath and let it go - this is a beautiful time to be part of our incredible community. Thank you!

Many blessings
