[Workshop] Syrian Diaspora Business Forum

Eschborn, Germany 27-28 February: The CMI, together with WB, GIZ, UK Aid and IOM, organized the Syrian Diaspora Business Forum, following consultations with Syrian business investors in ten countries and thirteen cities. The meeting aimed at establishing a network of Syrian diaspora investors and businesses as well as other key players, to be mobilized for the reconstruction of Syria.

[Webinar] Host Municipalities Network - PPPs and New Technologies in Solid Waste Management

 
Virtual, 06 February: The CMI organized a virtual workshop gathering around 20 municipal and governmental representatives, as well as other international and national stakeholders from France Greece, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Palestine and Turkey who discussed ways to implement best practices and use new technologies to shape new waste management solutions.

Vienna, Austria, 13-15 February:  During its participation in the Mediterranean City to City Project Peer Meeting on Refugees, organized by CMPD, UCLG, UNHABITAT and UNHCR, the CMI presented, as part of the “Refugees: opportunities and challenges for local governments” panel, its program on refugees and host communities, discussing specific experiences relevant to successful peer-to-peer learning exchanges.
