Message From the Chair

I am pleased to announce the re-introduction of RTA Spotlight, and the timing couldn't be better given the busy year we've had so far! Last fall we welcomed seven new inductees into our Alumni Wall of Fame, distributed over $90,000 in scholarships at our annual RTA Awards ceremony, broadcasted over 75 games through our Rams Live initiative, and held events and happenings including New Media Day and the third Annual RTA Winter Gala. Now, four weeks into the Winter term, it's hard to believe that Practicum submissions are just around the corner. RTA has many exciting events coming up including the 39th annual TARA awards show and the annual New Media Exhibit - META. Each day I am amazed at the boundless talents and creativity of our students, faculty and alumni. All it takes is one glance at this newsletter to appreciate the range of skills, innovations and accomplishments of the RTA community. I couldn't be prouder to represent you as Chair, and I look forward to seeing and supporting your endeavours this semester.

Michael Coutanche
Chair, RTA School of Media
