Representative Dave Considine Announces Committee Assignments
for 2017-2018 Legislative Session

Madison - Representative Dave Considine (D-Baraboo) announced today that Assembly Democratic Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) has selected him to serve on the Assembly Corrections, Education, and Tourism committees for the 2017-2018 session. Considine will also serve as ranking Democrat on two committees: Agriculture and Mental Health Reform.
“I am very excited to serve on these committees in the upcoming session,” said Rep. Considine. “As in my first term, my experience as an educator, farmer, and active community member in my district will help me listen to what my constituents want and need and bring those concerns to committee discussions. I’m looking forward to continuing to serve as a calm, rational voice for the 81st District in the Assembly.”
This is Rep. Considine’s second term in the legislature. He was elected in 2014 after retiring from a 29-year career teaching students labeled Emotionally and Behaviorally Disordered in the Baraboo School District. Before returning to education, he farmed full-time for ten years. He and his wife, Gretchen, have maintained their farm in the Baraboo Bluffs for over 40 years, and now share it with their five children and ten grandchildren.
Rep. Considine will be officially inaugurated on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017.
